Fishery Rules

The rules of the fishery are designed to protect the fish, anglers, wildlife and premises to ensure all have a safe and enjoyable experience.


Specimen Pool

1. Strictly barbless hooks.
2. Please ensure you bring with you proof of rod licence.
3. No litter. (all to be taken away).
4. Max 2 rods. (Mar-Nov) 3 rods at managements discretion (Dec-Feb) with appropriate licence.
5. All nets, mats, cradles and weigh slings to be dipped prior to fishing.
6. No lead core. No fixed leads. Free running lead recommended. Safe zone leaders may be used provided the lead ejects with ease.

6a. If not using leader, 2 foot at least of rig tubing to be used especially if using braid as main line.

7. Each angler must have appropriate equipment, 42”-50” fish safe landing net, large carp mat/cradle, or cat mat and weigh sling, 3lb min test curve rods, 18lb/20lb+ line. 80lb+ braid is required. Fish care kit is required.
8. No live baiting. Dead baits can be purchased on site or purchased a from supermarket.
9. No surface fishing, zigs allowed below surface.
10. Baiting in moderation. Fresh baits recommended. (Bait boats are allowed, bait in moderation)
11. No nuts of any kind. No unsourced meat or fish products, shelf life baits not recommended.

11a. No fake baits are to be used.

12. Rods are not to be left unattended.
13. No retaining of or movement of fish allowed.
14. Photographing of fish should be done over mat/cradle kneeling down. No standing.
15. No fires. B.B.Q’s if conditions are safe and raised from the ground.
16. Alcohol in moderation. No drugs allowed. Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.
17. We have a zero tolerance to abuse, verbal or physical to any staff member or other anglers.
18. Radio’s allowed but noise in general must be kept to a minimum so others are not disturbed.
19. No dogs or pets allowed.
20. Home Farm Fishery accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to persons, equipment or vehicles whilst on the premises


Match Pool

5. All nets, mats, cradles and weigh slings to be dipped prior to fishing.
6. No surface fishing, zigs allowed below surface.
7. No nuts of any kind.

7a No fake baits to be used.

8. Rods are not to be left unattended.
10. No retaining of or movement of fish allowed. (Except Matches)
11. Photographing of fish should be done over mat/cradle and No standing.
12. Alcohol in moderation. No Drugs allowed. Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.

Children/Guests

Persons under 16 years of age are not allowed to fish the Match or specimen lake unless accompanied by an adult.

All non-fishing guest's will be charged as follows.... £10.00 Cabin £5.00 Bivvy per 24hrs.  (Specimen lake) £5.00 per 24hrs (Heron)


General Policies

Strictly no litter. Each angler is responsible for litter at their peg.

We operate a hook checking policy.

Please respect the fish and handle them with care especially when photographing.

Never stand up when holding a fish, always kneel down and hold it.

Do not leave fish out of the water for longer than necessary.

Ensure you have a bucket of water to keep fish wet, especially in warmer weather.


Baits


Boilies and ground bait to be used in moderation.

No nuts of any description to be used.

No blood worm or joker.

No Pet food.
